Cat café is a themed café whose attraction is cats that can be watched and played with. Patrons pay a cover fee, usually hourly, and thus cat cafés can be seen as a form of supervised indoor pet rental. A cat café allows customers to enjoy many of the benefits of owning a cat. A cat café also offers a place where people can enjoy their coffee time with a group of cute and lovely cats. Cat café is a solution for those who loves cat very much but doesn’t have a chance to have them as a pet.

The first cat café recorded in history located in Taiwan, opened their door in 1998. Eventually they become tourist destination attracting tourist from all over the world, especially Japan. The concept then become popular in Japan. The first cat café in Japan opened in 2005, and within 5 years, there are 79 cat cafés opened across Japan. But it doesn’t stop in Japan.

Later, cat café gained attention from all over the world. More cat cafés are popping up across the globe, including Singapore, Canada, United States, Austria, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, and United Kingdom.

And now, it is also available in Indonesia.
